"The Hot House Blues Band , based in Graz, Austria, is not your typical blues band that is trying  so hard to sound like a Chicago or Memphis blues band that can be heard on their favorite records at home.

Hot House strives for getting the feeling of the blues, but leaves the old clichés and “blues purists” by the door. Their approach encompasses the many musical influences the band members embody: hard rock, indie sounds, traditional blues, and above all groove. The band is also a gumbo mix of musicians from Austria, Belarus, England, and Filipino heritage.

Hot House Blues Band is above all, about the blues feeling, and making good times out of hard times."

" Hot House Blues Band aus Graz ist keine typische Bluesband, die sich zu sehr bemüht, wie eine Chicago- oder Memphis-Bluesband zu klingen, wie sie zu Hause auf den Lieblingsplatten zu hören sind. Hot House nimmt sich des ‚Blues-Feelings‘ an, lässt aber die alten Klischees und "Blues-Puristen" außen vor.
